New findings from Ipsos-Reid show that over one-quarter of the American population aged 12 and over, have downloaded a music file from the Internet.
According to the research firm, 60 million Americans, or 28 percent of the adult population have downloaded files from the Net. This marks an increase of four percent since April 2002.
In addition, roughly 50 percent of American adults have listened to a pre-recorded music CD via their PC, while nearly one-third have listened to digital music files that were stored on their computers’ hard drive.

To increase traffic to your site, you will first need to take steps to improve site visit results. In other words, you will need to submit your site to a search engine or engines. Generally speaking, there is no surprise in this promotional method. You simply submit your site to a search engine, or blast your website address to hundreds of directories.

If your site contains a forum, you will automatically attract more visitors. (Additionally, you can use the topics and subsequent discussions from your forum to formulate content for an FAQ directory.) There are newsgroups, bulletin boards, chat areas, or forums on just about every subject imaginable. Choose a topic that best fits your site's purpose.

If you exchange links with other sites, your ranking power will increase. Reserve a section of your site to include links to other sites; then, ask these sites to include links to your site.

Remember to target your site messages and correctly formulate your heading message to search engines, underlining words that appear on your homepage. Take a look at Hostreview.com to see an example. Enjoy.
