Have you ever visited an IM forum, or home-biz forum and seen anguished pleas for help like “HELP! Can’t Make Diddley!” or phrases to that effect?
Why does it happen? Why do some people struggle to make more than a few bucks online a day? There can of course be several reasons, but one usual suspect is that they’re in the wrong niches. It’s really very difficult to make more than a trickle of cash in some niches, because the underlying financial muscle just isn’t there.
You see, if the basic product that is being sold in the niche is a low ticket product…then the amount of money floating about in that niche available for things like paying Adsense publishers or affiliates (you and you) is also going to be low.
A lot of newbies and inexperienced online entrepreneurs are coaxed into these “broke” niches…and what do you know, they end up not making anything other than a trickle of Adsense pennies.
If you’re currently in the process of picking a niche to start or grow your own internet website empire, then here are some tips on picking a thriving niche that has the potential to deliver you the type of returns you want:
1. Ensure the niche has an abundant supply of cash rich prospects, and that the total annual amount spent within the industry amounts to hundreds of millions (at least). Better if billions – and even better if trillions. At the end of the day, millions of people spending trillions of dollars means a far better chance of YOUR site seeing some of that moolah.
2. See that the niche has a good structure for website affiliates to get paid, and that the payouts are very good. Your time is valuable – I’m sure you’ll bust a gut setting up an outstanding site, so make sure you get your due reward for it. That’s only possible when the available commissions are high.
3. Try and pick a niche that has a good medium and long term future. Some niches are dying. Others are bursting. Others still are cyclical – you need to understand any niche you enter inside out and know how to play it.
In the email subject, I speak of a “secret thing” you should look out for whenever you enter any new niche. This really is key if you want the chance of outstanding returns from your niche websites.
See, this “thing” allows you to get paid without your website visitors ever having to buy anything.
And, this “thing” often enjoys click through ratio’s of 20%, 30% and even more in some instances.
This “thing” is called “pay per lead” and you need to take it very seriously if you want massive website profits. It’s rare in the internet marketing/publishing business simply because (usually) bigger companies with big ad budgets are the ones that offer PPL campaigns.
For example, A few weeks ago, Blockbuster was offering about twenty bucks per lead for everyone who applied for a free one month trial with them online. Imagine that – every visitor to your site gets a month of free videos and you get twenty quid for each one that gives it the nod. Many video niche sites made out like bandits. Now and again, some really great PPL offers come in for a number of the bigger niches.
It’s exactly because of the nature of PPL that makes it so valuable to the website owner. Usually, the website visitor gets something of value at zero cost, and you get paid when they sign up. Longer term readers will know that in the past I have revealed niches that have yielded pay per lead of upto ninety bucks per lead.
THAT is how you get wealthy with niche marketing – just one website within one of these huge PPL niches can make you far more than a thousand woeful niches. Remember that the next time you set-up a website in pastures new.
