Marketing: Why You Need an App in 2015

In order to get the full potential of your product or service, it should not come as a major surprise that you must spend money (specifically marketing dollars) to get your brand out there.

For some companies and especially marketers, they try and do that in a half-hearted way, spending as little money as possible and focusing on other needs or wants.

So, ask yourself if you’re doing all you can to market your products and services in 2015?

If not, how can you do a better job of getting your message out there to the public, be it about apps, VoIP, smartphones or a wide range of other innovations that millions of people used on a daily basis?

Put the Right Package Together

First and foremost, marketing should not be just a one-time thing or a one-vehicle operation.

In order to best position your marketing efforts to attain their full potential, look to market on multiple levels, including:

  1. Traditional marketing – Many companies still like the idea of traditional marketing means, notably vehicles such as emails, flyers, newspapers, television etc. While these can be very good means of promoting your brand, you need to do a fair amount of research on a regular basis to see what kind of numbers you are or are not hitting. As more and more consumers move to digital marketing vehicles, marketers and business owners need to remain flexible;

  2. Digital marketing – While many marketers have transitioned to putting more emphasis on digital marketing, they can’t throw all their eggs in one basket. A nice mix of traditional and digital will oftentimes be the recipe for success. Even though many consumers have gone digital, there are still those who have not, so don’t abandon your traditional marketing efforts as a result;

  3. Social media – You would think that many if not all marketers and business owners would have social media at or near the top of their lists when it comes to marketing vehicles, but many sadly do not. Whether you are iOS app development experts or one of countless other products or services, social media is a great venue to populate your brand. If you are marketing an app, social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and more are great venues to promote it. You can interact with viewers worldwide, both in promoting why your app should be considered and also address any questions/issues about the product at the same time. Another venue to turn to is YouTube, allowing you to make informative videos of why your app is the one to buy. If you choose this route, make sure the production is both clean and detailed. The worst thing you can do is put together a messy and uninformative video, something that could easily turn some consumers off to your brand.

No matter what your product or service is, use marketing as your friend and not your adversary.
