Are You Properly Marketing Your Business App?

If you have a business app (and you should), you likely know how important it is to your company’s ability to satisfy customers and ultimately grow.

That said one of the big keys with your business app is making sure you are properly marketing it.

So, would you say you are actively and properly marketing your business app or is it something you could better at?

If you fall into the latter category, don’t despair.

You will find that you have myriad of opportunities when it comes to marketing your app.

The only question you might have is where do you start?

Is Your App Worth Their Time?

So that you can reach as many consumers as possible, make sure you have an app that is worth their time.

Wait, you just assumed that any old app would do the job?

Unfortunately, some companies don’t put much time and effort (including money) into their app selections. What they end up with is an app that is mediocre at best; yet likely cost them an arm and a leg for setup etc.

In order for you to get the best app possible for your business needs, be sure to shop around and compare apps against one another.

When you go after the top app development companies, you increase the odds of landing an app that is worth not only your time, but more importantly the time of your customers.

If you think the choice will be difficult, keep in mind that this is one of the more important decisions you will make, so take whatever time is necessary.

Now, once you have the app and it is ready to roll, how best to go about marketing it?

Market Your App Near and Far

So that you put forth an app marketing plan that is second to none, remember the following tips:

  • Website – What better resource to market your app than your website itself? Start by putting content in your blog about what your app does, how it can best-serve consumers, and what sets it apart from anything the competition (without naming them) comes up with. Also try and do some guest blogging on worthwhile sites. In return for the articles you supply them, you should ask for a link back to your app. In doing so, readers can download your app in less than a minute. Even if they’re not quite ready to buy from you just yet, they now have your app on their mobile device, allowing them to check you out whenever they want to;

  • Social media – In what is essentially free marketing and advertising, make sure you are as involved as possible with social media. This is a great resource for you to market your app, something that will ultimately come across the eyes and ears of millions of consumers. For example, put together a short video that details what your app is about and its benefits to consumers. You then link to that video in a post on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. Before long, countless people will learn about your app. No, that does not mean that sales will come flooding in, but it does mean that you are putting your app out there for notice. Lastly, engage consumers on social media regularly, being there to answer any questions and/or concerns they have with your app;

  • Consumers – Finally, put consumers (notably your customers) to work in helping to market your app for you. Yes, offering them an incentive or two is always the smart thing to do. For instance, if you have a booth at a public event, ask consumers to download your app on their mobile devices. In return for doing so, give them a souvenir from your company (mug, pen, T-shirt etc.). Not only do they now have your app downloaded, but they’re walking around with another item bearing your company name and logo etc.

Marketing your business app in today’s digital world is a necessity, not a choice.

Simply make sure you are marketing it with success in mind.
