Typical blogging and its shortcomings is the topic of the webinar organized by Exclusive Concepts, Inc. The web seminar titled "Why Most Blogs Won't Generate Leads" will be held on Tuesday, March 27th at 12:30 pm and will discuss the issue of how to turn a corporate blog from a simple communication tool into an activity and interest generating means of company promotion. "Successful blogging is about establishing a personality, becoming an expert in a particular area and generating buzz so that people will continue to come back again and again to see what you have to say," said Robert Flournoy, Vice President at Exclusive Concepts.

Third Door Media, Inc. has produced SMX Advanced, a new search marketing event to take place June 4-5, 2007, at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center in Seattle. The expo is programmed and will be chaired by search authority Danny Sullivan and will be joined by several other renowned search marketing experts. On March 26-27, 2007 Jennifer Laycock, editor-in-chief of Search Engine Guide, and Matt Bailey of SiteLogic, will present a class entitled Social Media: Should You Digg It? "The seminar will help to answer attendees’ questions on the effectiveness of social media to give them the edge over their competition,” says John Marshall, CEO and founder of ClickTracks. To complement the series of online marketing and web analytics classes, the company offers ClickTracks Appetizer, a free web analyticsS software program that includes several of ClickTracks' most popular features--like its famous overlay view, path view, page analysis and basic visitor labeling.

Marketing Pilgrim opened its second Search Engine Marketing Scholarship contest giving away a search engine marketing scholarship prize package worth more than $10,000. Entrants should submit an article related to search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click advertising (PPC) or social media optimization (SMO) before April 6th. Entries will be published between April 9 and 13 and will have their popularity measured for 4 weeks from publication. The winner will be selected by panel of industry expert judges from among the five finalists that receive the most “unique views” and will be announced on May 21.
