SMX Local & Mobile,
to be held at the Hyatt Regency Tech Center in Denver, October 1-2,
2007, is to explore Local & Mobile search as the next significant
opportunity for interactive marketers. The two-day conference is
divided into two tracks of sessions - Industry Issues and Search
Marketing. The
expo will look into current opportunities and future developments in
the industry by offering insight on mobile and local search
optimization, using analytics to fine-tune local search campaigns,
leveraging social networks in Local & Mobile search, measuring and
demonstrating ROI of internet-influenced / real-world-consummated
transactions, etc.
Attendees will learn about the new and
specialized techniques for achieving optimal organic results and how
online marketing should be simplified so as to be made more accessible
for local and vertically-focused businesses. Local & Mobile search
promises to enhance ad-spending ROI by identifying customers poised to
buy when using location-aware technologies. Predictions are that it
will enhance searches with location-specific data that facilitate
in-store purchases, which
represent 90% of all purchases made. The conference is programmed by Search Engine Land and produced by Third Door Media, Inc.
It will be co-hosted by search marketing gurus Chris Sherman, Executive
Editor of Search Engine Land, and Greg Sterling, founding principal of Sterling Market Intelligence. Full conference registration
includes access to the exhibition, as well as SMX Local & Mobile
networking activities. Special rates are offered for early bird
registration, which expires August 15.
