Google created excitement in the industry with the unofficial testing of its new product. After launching Google sitemaps, and Google Blog Search, the search engine giant develops more as a technology provider than as a traditional search engine listing web pages and aimed at increasing of relevancy.

The latest rumor of Google launching a new product turned to be a real story about a real time test of the new search.

According to the announcement in the official Google Blog, posted by Google’s Product Marketing Manager Tom Oliveri, “Here's what's really going on. We are testing a new way for content owners to submit their content to Google, which we hope will complement existing methods such as our web crawl and Google Sitemaps. We think it's an exciting product, and we'll let you know when there's more news.”

The product really created excitement after published in the blogs screenshots of the new Google Base. As it is seen, Google suggests users to list "descriptions of your party-planning service", “used car” or a "database of protein structures."

Google Base seems to be projected as Google’s database into which you can add in fact all types of content. This can significantly change the map of the product search and auction sites, some analysts say. Whether the leading technology provider is going to start a new era in providing advertisers unseen up to now options to list and sell or it is a step in expanding of the search opportunities for the end user.

The new product seemingly will provide the listing of the products, information and services for free which can expand search engine’s technology into new territories.

The centralization of the content seems to be the core of the product’s base. Late in September, Classified Intelligence published a research, announcing that Google shops for Classified providers, moving into including their feeds in the organic search results.

"Anytime an online giant like Google does something of this magnitude, it's going to change the classified landscape and up the ante for everyone else in the field," said Peter M. Zollman, founding principal and executive editor of Classified Intelligence LLC.

"Google will not find that the existing competitors - newspapers, Craigslist, and AOL just to name a few - are easily dissuaded from their hard-won audiences," added Zollman.

It seems that Google Base is under development, and it is unpredictable how many hours or days remain to the official launch.
