Biblio.com, a used, rare, and out-of-print books online marketplace
announced a very successful first quarter with Intrapromote LLC, a
provider of search engine optimization services. Intrapromote was
contracted by Biblio.com in January of this year to assist with search
engine optimization for Biblio’s web site.
“We have spent the first three months of 2006 going through a rather
extensive process with Intrapromote identifying key portions of our
site to focus our SEO strategy,” says Kevin Donaldson, Director of
Sales and Marketing for Biblio.com. “Intrapromote has given us
substantial insight into the workings of our site and how it interacts
with the major search engines primarily. We are already seeing positive
results from even the most minor changes suggested to us.”
Biblio.com is paying close attention to the search engines as they
continue to reorganize and redistribute their search results as this
marketing phenomenon continues to evolve. Search traffic to Biblio.com
from MSN has increased based on several gains in search engine
placements for important search phrases including "used books", "out of
print books", and "used bookstores" which now are listing on the first
two search results pages on MSN.
Prior to the campaign, Biblio.com did not rank in the top thirty
positions for these search phrases. “We have discovered, as have most
players in online commerce, that organic search traffic should never be
underestimated in the grand scheme of SEO,” says Donaldson, “What we do
with the help of Intrapromote in the next 6-12 months will make a
definable difference in how we see traffic, and ultimately sales driven
to our site.”
Biblio.com
Biblio.com Inc. is now one of the leading sources for used, rare,
out-of-print, and hard-to-find books in the world. With the launch of
their online services in February 2003, Biblio.com entered a market
dominated by several major companies, as well as more than a dozen
smaller competitors. With substantial growth in the last three years,
Biblio.com has gone from a fledgling company to becoming the third
largest site of its kind in the world. Biblio.com now offers more than
35 million titles from more than 4900 independent booksellers in 36
countries.
