SitePoint Pty. Ltd. (SitePoint.com), a media company and Marketplace targeting Web Professionals, today announced the acquisition of MyFreelanceAuction.com.

MyFreelanceAuction.com is an online service that allows auctions to be streamed onto any webpage, blog, or message board on the Internet.

With a single image link that can be posted anywhere on the Web, MyFreelanceAuction displays the current bid in real-time, the "Buy It Now" price, as well as the time remaining in the auction.

Previous bidders are notified instantly if they are outbid, therefore minimizing the hassle in repeatedly contacting multiple parties who are participating in a sale.

By centralizing the auction process, while at the same time allowing an auction to be advertised in numerous locations throughout the Web, the final selling price is maximized without the usual hassles.

"By integrating MyFreelanceAuction into the SitePoint MarketPlace in the coming month, we hope to minimize the hassles involved in selling a domain name, Website or template," commented Mark Harbottle, CEO of SitePoint Pty Ltd.

"This additional service will greatly enhance the experience of everyone who uses the SitePoint MarketPlace."
