StumbleUpon, Inc. announces the release of the SumbleUpon extension for Internet Explorer users. The IE users can now join over a million Firefox users who "stumble" to discover the most interesting and informative websites on the Internet.

Each click on the "Stumble" button delivers top-rated websites, news articles, photos, videos, or Wikipedia pages to the user's browser. Users can then rate each site with a "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" and share comments on that content. With each rating, StumbleUpon learns individual users' personal preferences and delivers increasingly relevant content.

"Over one million members of the Mozilla Firefox community are already stumbling to discover great websites," said Garrett Camp, chief architect of StumbleUpon, Inc. "With the release of the Internet Explorer extension, millions more can start discovering interesting sites they never knew existed."

StumbleUpon also announces that it now provides extensive RSS support. RSS feeds now enable users to track other users' favorite sites, reviews of any site on the Internet, and finally, new website submissions from the StumbleUpon Community.

The perfect adjunct to search, StumbleUpon enables the discovery of web pages that have been viewed and recommended by community members with similar interests. Top rated websites within selected areas of interest are randomly shown to stumblers (people who click on the "stumble" button). "Where you land is almost always a surprise," said Camp. As such, Camp added that stumbling is extremely addictive, with members stumbling nearly 25 stumbles per day.

Headquartered in San Francisco, StumbleUpon is a web discovery service that allows people to discover great websites recommended by people with similar interests. With one click, users are taken to interesting websites they wouldn't have thought to search for. To begin stumbling, go to http://www.stumbleupon.com to download the Firefox or Internet Explorer toolbar extensions.
