Lawn and Garden Yellow Pages has received two "Standard of Excellence"
awards in the Web Marketing Association’s (WMA) 2006 International
WebAward Competition. For ten years, the WMA WebAward Competition has
been the premier annual website award competition recognizing people
and organizations representing 96 industries who are responsible for
developing some of the most outstanding and effective websites on the
Internet today, while setting the standard of excellence for all
website development.
"It is quite an honor to be a recipient of these awards," said Steve
Cissel, CEO and founder of Lawn and Garden Yellow Pages. "We are
pleased to be connecting gardening consumers with some of the finest
companies in the lawn and garden industry and to be able to provide
them with a wealth of valuable gardening information, such as that
offered through our ‘Virtual Plant Tags’, as well as affording
consumers the opportunity to find products and services in their area."
Cissel also stated that, "The gardening industry is vast and very
fragmented. Our Lawn and Garden Yellow Pages web site pulls together
the resources that the gardening consumer needs to create one very rich
web publication."
The WMA honored Lawn and Garden Yellow Pages with a "Standard of
Excellence" award in two categories: "Directory or Search Engine" and
"Portal". Other 2006 "Standard of Excellence" award winners include:
Verizon, AT&T, Trek Bikes, Walt Disney Parks & Resorts Online,
