Crawlability Inc. has acquired vBHackers.com, adding a major development community to the vBSEO family.
Founded in 2004, vBHackers.com was established as a community dedicated
to improving the popular vBulletin forum software created by Jelsoft
Enterprizes Limited.
vBulletin software provides visible source code and has encouraged
developers to add extensions since its inception. The latest versions
of vBulletin include a plugin system making development of plugins and
extensions a more streamlined process for programmers.
Crawlability Inc. are the makers of the leading vBulletin SEO solution
(vBSEO), a plugin that can be installed within vBulletin in less than 5
minutes. The vBSEO Team works directly with many prominent developers
in the vBulletin community, and felt that taking over management of
vBHackers.com would be an excellent move to help build a new Web
location for supporting development of all types of extensions to the
core vBulletin product.
Crawlability President Juan Muriente stated:
"Our team is very excited to bring vBHackers on board. We see its
incredible potential and are willing to commit the resources to making
it grow and prosper as a resource for everyone in the vBulletin
community.
We do not intend for it to be viewed as competition to other forums
that exist for a similar purpose. Instead, we hope to build
partnerships with all those that are interested in the vBulletin
community. vBulletin.org is the #1 destination for admins and
developers, including the vBSEO Team. We definitely plan to support
them by having the vBHackers team release any great new plugin or
extension we produce there as well.
100% collaboration is what we want. That's what will result in the
greatest benefit to the entire vBulletin user base. We feel that our
development and forum management processes that have been formed with
vBHackers.com and vBSEO.com will allow us to make an impact. We have a
lot of great people on board who feel the same and are eager to get
started!"
Crawlability's vBSEO.com is an extremely productive forum. The vBSEO
Team including its moderators, pre-release team, and support staff work
together to deliver rapid support to everyone who needs help with vBSEO
or needs more information before vBSEO-enabling their forums.
Discussions on the forum stay very much on topic, and the vBSEO
moderating staff keep non-productive communication to a minimum.
"Our forum runs very smoothly, and vBSEO.com is now regarded just as
highly for its support as for our vBulletin SEO solution. The feedback
we get is nothing short of amazing. We hope that by combining our team
and methodologies, we can expect to see that same level of recognition
of quality at vBHackers.com. Our first task with the vbhackers.com
re-launch is to bring our new team up to speed on our support processes
and bring new staff onboard. From there, we'll have our dev teams begin
working on prioritized development of vBulletin plugins that will
become the new must-have installs in 2007," says VP Ilia Muriente.
The vBSEO/vBHackers Teams plan to have re-launch of the site completed
by the end of October 2006. New development initiatives may follow as
early as November.
