RALEIGH, N.C. - The Triangle Interactive
Marketing Association (TIMA), the area’s only association exclusively
focused on the Interactive Marketing industry, announced they will be
hosting a social marketing panel discussion on February 21, 2007 from
11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Exploris Museum in downtown Raleigh.
The
panel will focus on how consumer-generated (or social) media has
changed the business and marketing landscape. Topics covered will
include how to effectively stop Internet rumors from spreading about
you or your company, how to best manage your online reputation and ways
to leverage the invaluable information provided by social media
sources.
“Today’s marketers must have a keen understanding of
the power of social media and how to effectively navigate the trenches.
We have received a lot of interest from TIMA members on this topic and
look forward to hearing what our panel of experts have to say,” stated
Michael Hubbard, president, TIMA.
The TIMA panel consists of
three professionals with direct experience in the social media space:
David Churbuck of Lenovo, search engine guru and consultant Andy Beal
and public relations practitioner Cindy Akus of Crossroads PR.
People interested in attending should RSVP at http://www.triangleinteractive.org/index.php?id=14.
