Oodle Launches Personals

Oodle, the search engine for classifieds, today announced a beta release of Oodle Personals www.oodle.com/personals. Oodle Personals enables consumers to quickly browse and search over a million public profiles from high-quality dating sites such as OkCupid and Plenty of Fish as well as smaller community sites Nerve and GolfMates.com.

As Google once touted in its spoof “Google Romance” release, “When you think about it, love is just another search problem.”

“There are hundreds of great personals sites out there each with their own flair,” said Craig Donato, CEO of Oodle. “With Oodle consumers can more easily decide which service best fits their needs.”

Finding that special someone just got easier

Whether Metalhead or muscleman, pretty in pink or punk – with Oodle, users can now quickly find their perfect match. Users can easily zoom-in on their Mr. or Mrs. Right, selecting from dozens of attributes such as popular pastimes, astrology sign, or eye color. And when they find profiles they like, users can tag the listings to quickly find them the next the time they visit.

Across the country, there are more men than women with dating profiles. Not only do women appear to have their pick of men online, they also have their choice of men in the casual encounters department – across the country, significantly more men than women are seeking casual encounters – in some cases there are three men for every women searching for a casual encounter. Even grandparents are joining the online dating revolution: more than 5 percent of the profiles in all major metro areas are of men and women over the age of 50.
