GenieKnows.com Launches Vertical Search Engine

GenieKnows.com, a privately held, Halifax-based search company part of IT Interactive Services Inc., has launched its Health, Business and Gaming search engine verticals, adding to their recently launched Local Search platform. The new verticals will offer users an alternative online destination search tool to source out information contained within specific markets.

GenieKnows.com’s Vertical search engine employs patent-pending technology encompassing crawling, extraction and ranking techniques. The vertical search technology is currently in beta form covering 20M Web Sites in each vertical while the full 1.0 release will expand the data set to 100M Web Sites in each vertical. Future verticals such as Travel and Sports are planned for upcoming product release.

In addition to GenieKnows.com’s Vertical search, users can also access the Local search platform via the homepage. GenieKnows.com Local lets users explore their own backyard virtually by providing comprehensive information about the businesses in their neighborhood. Users can sort search results alphabetically by street name or business name, then drill down into related information.
