Carlsberg brand by offering an improved online experience for consumers.
www.carlsberg.co.uk showcases the entire Carlsberg product range,
including the new super premium Jacobsen range and Carlsberg Edge. It
also leverages the unique sponsorship properties Carlsberg holds
including the 'Official Beer' of the England football team, the
'Official Beer' of UEFA EURO TM 2008 and Official Beer of Wembley
Stadium.
Visitors to the site are invited to enter a wide range of exclusive
Carlsberg competitions, including the chance to win England match
tickets or a 'money can't buy opportunity' to watch the England squad
train in advance of the final qualifier.
The website integrates with the highly successful Carlsberg above the
line campaigns including the recent Karaoke advert featuring Bryan
Ferry, with exclusive behind the scenes content. The site also gives
visitors the opportunity to discover more about the award winning
"World According to Carlsberg" advertising campaign which started in
2001.
Carlsberg's commitment to responsible drinking is also detailed on the
site, and includes links to The Portman Group and the Drink aware Trust
websites.
Carlsberg Marketing Director, Darran Brittan said: "The internet is
becoming an increasingly important place for people to find information
and communicate with each other and with the world at large. Carlsberg
prides itself on both the quality of our products and the experience we
bring to the consumer so it makes sense that if people are drinking
(probably) the best lager in the world, they should see the brand at
(probably) the best internet site in the world as well."
The website is part of a £13m media spend to support the Carlsberg
brands during 2007. More content will follow in the run up to
Christmas including a section for the trade and the media. The site
will be updated on a regular basis with information regarding Carlsberg
news, promotions, events, career opportunities and awards.
