Cummins Selects MetricStream for Enterprise Wide Quality and ComplianceSolution to automate business processes for key industry standard and regulatory mandates. December 7, 2007; 03:03 AM MetricStream, Inc., the market leader in enterprise-wide Governance, Risk, Compliance (GRC) and Quality Management solutions today announced that Cummins (NYSE: CMI) has selected MetricStream as its enterprise wide platform for managing a wide range of operational quality and compliance initiatives. Cummins is a leading manufacturer of diesel and natural gas engines, electric power generation systems, and engine-related component products serving customers in over 160 countries and territories. With $11.4 billion in revenue, Cummins is currently ranked 221 in the Fortune 500 list of companies. The company will deploy the MetricStream solution to integrate quality management processes throughout its worldwide operations which includes more than 80 manufacturing sites as well as its worldwide customers and suppliers. Initially, the system will be utilized for managing product and process related non-conformances, for issue investigations and reporting, for managing controlled documents, for developing and executing corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans and for ongoing compliance auditing. The system will also enable real-time analytics and trending on executive dashboards and reports for data driven decision-making. In subsequent phases of deployment, the MetricStream solution will serve as the central system for managing business processes to comply with key industry standards and regulations including QS 9000, TS 16949, ISO 18000, OSHA, Six Sigma, ISO 14000 and Environmental Health and Safety.
