NeboWeb, an Atlanta-based interactive marketing agency, recently was selected as a finalist in the 2009 AMY Awards in the Online Strategy category for the successful search engine optimization project they managed for the Arthritis Foundation. The SEO campaign objectives were focused on driving increased awareness for those suffering from arthritis or for those seeking to help to improve arthritis sufferers’ quality of life.
“We’re always honored to receive recognition for our work,” says Brian Easter, CEO of NeboWeb. “This is the kind of project that agencies look forward to, and we were excited to work with the Arthritis Foundation to create an extensive SEO campaign that would resonate with the target audience and truly help to provide crucial information to those in need.”
To reach the target audience of both arthritis sufferers and those looking to help the foundation, the site’s search engine footprint needed to be greatly increased. One of the greatest challenges the Arthritis Foundation faced was in making their vast website easily spidered by the major search engines. With nearly 20,000 pages of content, implementing SEO best practices was an enormous challenge. NeboWeb’s campaign strategy included the creation and implementation of its powerful, search engine-friendly content management system, the implementation of SEO best practices, and research into both highly targeted as well as long tail keyword opportunities.
As a result of NeboWeb’s SEO efforts, the Arthritis Foundation has more than doubled its keyword footprint, vastly expanded the amount of pages the major search engines have indexed, and increased their organic SEO traffic by 50% when comparing December 2007 to December 2008
