AWeber Communications Bucks the Downturn, Expands to Larger OfficeDoubling of customer base drives privately-held email service provider to expand staff and move into world-class, environmentally-friendly facility August 13, 2009; 05:31 AM Huntington Valley, Pa. (August 13, 2009) — AWeber Communications, a leading provider of permission-based email marketing software, today announced it has moved into a state-of-the-art, 24,000 square foot facility. The new headquarters is located at 3103 Philmont Avenue, Suite 200, Huntingdon Valley, Pa. The move to a larger facility underscores the overall growth of the company. AWeber manages email marketing campaigns for more than 64,000 small businesses and organizations and has seen their customer base increase by 28% this year and by more than 114% since January 2008. The company has created 16 new jobs in the past year, all filled by local talent, and expects to add more positions throughout the year. Now with 43 full-time employees, AWeber moves into a space that can accommodate up to 150 employees. “Moving from 4,500 square feet of office space to 24,000 square feet posed a new and exciting challenge for our team,” said Sean Cohen, Director of Operations. “It took an entire year of planning and construction, but we have a new home that we all can be proud of. More importantly, this new facility provides us with the resources necessary to support our continued growth in this industry. We’re committed to providing unparalleled support and education to our customers while driving further email marketing innovation.” AWeber continues to strive to deliver value in all that it does for its customers. The new office features better team meeting areas and new training facilities, including a classroom that AWeber intends to use to bring businesses and entrepreneurs together to share ideas and host email marketing education classes. In addition to AWeber’s website, blog, educational forums and webinars, the facility is properly outfitted for AWeber to create video content to provide comprehensive educational support for its customers. Throughout the planning phase, AWeber made special considerations to ensure the new facility was environmentally-friendly. Working with local architects and contractors, AWeber installed bamboo floors, daylight harvesting light sensors and occupancy sensors in every area to reduce the need for electric lights whenever possible. Additionally, AWeber used recycled wood from various sources and had it milled on the premises to be used in the renovation process. The new office is easily accessible via SEPTA.
