2009-08-24 20:26:32 - The second in a series of events, ‘The Changing Face of Media’, hosted by Canvas8 (http://www.canvas8.com/), will be held on Wednesday 9th September at The Host gallery, 1 Honduras Street, Clerkenwell, London.
Twitter, Facebook, Spotify, Tripadvisor, Augmented Reality, Smart phone Apps, YouTube – the range of technology choices for brands wishing to engage with consumers is huge. For many these are uncharted waters, and these technologies can raise more questions than they answer.
This time the theme of ‘The Changing Face of Media’ is emerging technology. Based on the speakers’ experiences it asks the question: how can brands best use technology and not be used by it?

Gerd Leonhard - With over 25 years in the media, technology and communications industries as an author, writer, entrepreneur, strategic advisor, keynote speaker and presenter, and Canvas8 Thought Leader, Gerd has a unique perspective. David Bausola - As one of the leading specialists in collaborative social media David is deeply passionate about audience engagement. A veteran of first-to-market communication inventions, he is the co-founder of Ag8 an independent studio developing currency for content makers, media platforms and brands. Their first product is an open media franchise, Purefold, designed for RSA Films, the commercial arm of film directors Ridley and Tony Scott.
Ramsey Khoury - An entrepreneur with a passion for innovation. After graduating from Parsons School of Design in New York, he established his own fashion business, before setting up Head London to drive technical innovation for brands through engaging user experiences. Head’s client list includes British Gas, Age Concern, F1 and Microsoft.
