CARMA Expands Social Media Offerings and Upgrades NewsAccessMedia analysis firm enhances its human-based social media analysis services and improves its already popular online media monitoring tool, NewsAccess, with the launch of a complementary product for social media monitoring, Social Media Access. September 8, 2009; 01:28 PM September 8, 2009 — CARMA International has recently updated its industry-leading methodology to better measure social media coverage. The company has adapted its time-tested approach to media analysis to account for the nuances and intricacies of social media. As part of this initiative, CARMA has devised methods for analyzing reader comments and hyperlinks appearing within social media and for helping clients understand how discussion in the blogosphere is affecting their image. CARMA’s team of researchers will evaluate and apply tone to all or selected media coverage. · Customization – Users can choose from a list of core charts and data tables to customize NewsAccess and Social Media Access. Options include share of voice and other measurement breakdowns for all data available, as well as basic data on topics and journalists.
