Marketing Research Association’s 2009 Award Winners Announced At MRA’s First Outlook Conference & Expo

(Glastonbury, Conn.)  MRA honored their 2009 volunteer award winners at MRA’s First Outlook Conference, November 4-6, 2009 in San Diego.  The awards recognize volunteers who have made a difference in the association and the profession. 

This year’s Rising Star award was presented to Meg Ryan, PRC, Online Survey Solution for her outstanding volunteer efforts.  Ryan has served on a variety of local and national MRA committees.  Her enthusiasm and optimism are appreciated by all who know her.  

The Shining Star award went to two recipients Ken Roberts, PRC, Cooper Roberts Research, Inc. and Lynn Stalone, PRC, I/H/R Research Group.  Roberts is currently Treasurer of MRA and an avid supporter of PRC, serving on the Certification Development Committee.  Stalone has been volunteering at the local and national level of MRA for many years.  Both recipients have served at the national level for more than five years. 

The Northwest Chapter of MRA was the recipient of this year’s Best Chapter Education Event award.  The award was developed to recognize the efforts, determination and commitment of Chapter volunteers to put the best educational offering possible.  The Northwest Chapter won for their 2009 Spring Educational Conference. 

The final award given out was the Celebrated Company award that went to Nichols Research.  The Celebrated Company award recognizes the endless support and the outstanding contributions a company makes to the association and the profession.  Nichols Research has participated in and presented numerous educational events and volunteered for countless task forces, committees and boards.
