Fireside Chat with Google at the International Search Summit London

Google Webmaster Trends Analyst Pierre Far will be speaking at the next International Search Summit London on 26th November.

London, UK 3 September 2012 - Google Webmaster Trends Analyst Pierre Far will be speaking at the next International Search Summit London on 26th November.

His session will follow a “fireside chat” format, with WebCertain CEO and ISS Chair Andy Atkins-Krüger leading a discussion and digging deep into some of the key issues involved in managing international campaigns on Google.

The discussion will be centered around geo-targeting and the management of multilingual websites, an area which is so important, yet often very confusing for search marketers and webmasters.

“We decided to run this session as a chat format to enable a deeper discussion around these core issues and delve further into the challenges, without the confines of powerpoint”, says Andy. “From running over 20 International Search Summit events around the world, we know that geo-targeting generates more questions and concerns than any other topic so in this session we’ll be able to give it the attention it needs and deserves.”

WebCertain’s recent survey into geo-targeting (take the survey - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/geotargeting) has confirmed that many search marketers have been left confused by some of Google’s recent changes to its geo-targeting advice – especially the implementation of the hreflang tag. Andy adds, “We’re delighted to have Pierre back at the International Search Summit. He is an engaging and knowledgeable speaker, who will offer great insights to our delegates.”

Other topics covered at the International Search Summit will include international mobile SEO, How to get the most out of global agencies, International PPC and multinational reputation monitoring.

The International Search Summit will take place on 26th November, alongside Conversion Conference, as part of Data Driven Business Week. Super Early Bird Rates are available until 12th September at http://conversionconference.co.uk/register/

About the International Search Summit

The International Search Summit is run by international web marketing agency WebCertain and is a series of conferences dedicated to international and multilingual search and social media. WebCertain has been running the Summit since 2008, when it became frustrated at the lack of international content at search industry conferences. WebCertain started in 1997 working in four languages and has since expanded to 44 from a centralized hub where over 45 nationalities work together as a single unit.

Since 2011, the International Search Summit has been partnering with Search Marketing Expo to provide international SEO, PPC and Social Media content at SMX events in London, Munich, New York, Seattle, San Jose and Las Vegas.
