CM4all Sites with Revamped Editor Engine for Truly Responsive Websites at WHD 2014

Content Management AG showcases major product updates to its premium site building solution CM4all Sites at the world’s largest hosting fair.

COLOGNE, Germany & BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Starting today, Content Management AG (CM-AG), a leading developer of web-based applications, is showcasing its latest version of CM4all Sites featuring a completely revamped editor engine and various feature updates at WorldHostingDays 2014. The world’s largest event for the hosting industry is being held in Rust, Germany, from April 1 to 4, 2014.

Adding responsive designs to its premium site builder was only the first step CM4all took in providing its OEM partners’ customers with truly responsive websites. In CM4all Sites, each responsive design supports five different website formats, ranging from portrait for smartphones to wide screen for desktop monitors. CM4all also created a completely revamped editor engine and updated its CM4all widget technology for true responsiveness. As a result, even complex features like galleries, maps or online shops can now be displayed correctly on all devices.

“We could have easily matched what our competitors have done, but our goal is to always go the extra mile. So, for an optimum end user result, we reworked all our widgets and built an enhanced editor engine optimized for responsive website content. Now, a website’s complete content, including widgets, is adapted to the particular end user device, not just the design. We strongly believe that a better website delivered by our OEM partners makes an important difference and helps them to increase sales significantly,” says Robert Schovenberg, CEO of CM-AG.

Designed to create truly responsive websites, the latest CM4all Sites version provides additional formatting options such as column layouts, web fonts and background images, and now also supports up to three navigation levels. Furthermore, all of the default content in the initial industry-specific, pre-configured websites has been updated to better align with the selected category and to fully leverage the extended formatting options.

CM4all also implemented a new feature enabling OEM partners to make their customers’ websites instantly compliant with the EU Cookie Directive in order to meet local legal requirements. In addition, CM4all Sites now supports Open Graph meta tags to provide end users with added control over the appearance of their websites when they are shared via Facebook. As always, CM4all also constantly adds new widgets and responsive designs as well as updating the image archive for even greater user choice and creative flexibility.

The latest version of CM4all Sites including all updates and feature enhancements will be on display for WorldHostingDays’ international audience at booth A08.
