Facebook's Former Creative Strategy Leader Takes Head Role at ATOMIZED

Atomized Founder Chris Gomersall Assumes CEO Position at First-of-Its-Kind Cloud-Based Creative Management Platform for Brand Marketers

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - Jul 14, 2015) - Atomized, the first campaign management tool designed for omni-channel creative visualization, has announced that founder Chris Gomersall will step into the CEO position, effective immediately. Gomersall, former Creative Strategist at Facebook and Instagram, will guide the startup as it secures new brand and agency partners while continuing to build out its platform capabilities and technology to meet those partners' increasingly complex campaign management needs.

Atomized provides marketing leaders with improved efficiency for planning and executing content-based campaigns while managing the ever escalating number of creative executions and audience-specific customizations on all screens and platforms. For the first time, it offers CMOs and their marketing departments a visual calendar-based resource to help maintain a unified brand voice and consistent message across all marketing channels while also mitigating the risk created by the multiplying number of creative executions.

"With consumer-facing communication channels and platform options growing so quickly, it's crucial for brands to maintain a single consistent voice across every point of contact with their audience," said Justin Archer, SVP, Group Creative Director of Roar Groupe, a Publicis Groupe Solution. "More than ever, marketers need tools that help them manage all of their messaging executions. Major global brands can derive great value -- and enjoy increased productivity and accountability -- from technologies like Atomized. Chris's deep understanding of marketplace needs will help the company establish new norms for what is possible for these brands."

Gomersall began working on the Atomized platform after discovering a ubiquitous pain point for global marketers while he was Facebook's go-to leader for creative strategy. In that role, he helped some of the world's biggest brands incubate, ideate, and execute creative ideas on both Facebook and Instagram. While doing so, he found that marketers are struggling every day with the complexity of managing creative executions across an ever-growing number of screens. Many were still using inefficient analog processes to manage their creative assets.

With digital options growing rapidly and traditional media like print, TV and outdoor remaining important components of nearly every ad plan, Gomersall recognized the need for a centralized, cloud-based creative management system that allows marketers to easily see everything in one place.

"People are spending more and more time on giant platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest, but exciting new channels pop up all the time," said Gomersall. "These new touch points are simultaneously exciting and intimidating for marketers, who are finding that you can automate media buys, but you can't automate creativity. Each new ad format has its own language and use case, and as the audiences grow savvier, simply repurposing the same content across every channel won't cut it. As we found at Facebook, brands need to create content that fits the use and context of each channel, while maintaining a consistent message and story with all of the other channels. That's what brands are able to do with Atomized."
