Probably
the easiest place to get your feet wet with cost per click advertising
is with Google Adwords. Here you can advertise to your hearts content
and only pay when someone actually clicks on your link.
So,
why would you pay for clicks in the first place? Here are some of
the best reasons:
--->You can get HIGHLY TARGETED traffic --->It is a lot faster
than waiting for your site to get listed by search engines --->You
can limit what you want to spend --->You can make money without
a website.
Highly
Targeted. Here is how it works. You can pick the keywords (and keyphrases)
that the search engine user will type in. When they do, your ad
will be shown. Once your advertisement is shown, you have the ability
to turn away some of the people who see your ad.
So,
why would you want to turn anyone away? Remember, you are PAYING
for this type of traffic. So, more is not better. Quality is better.
You want people to come to your website that are in the mood to
get what you are offering. You want them to be willing to pay what
you are asking for your offer. So you might want to put together
something like this (an actual advertisement that I have used):
Complete
Website Security
Can't Read Links, Copy Screen
Not Even Print - Just $49.95
www.netloot.com
Notice
what I have done here. I picked a list of keywords and phrases that
are associated with my offer (website security and link protection).
I have made the advertisement explain what the software does (as
much as possible with the limited words that I have. And, I have
listed the price. This way, hopefully, just the people already willing
to pay $49.95 for that service will click.
In
this way, you get a little traffic, but you get the traffic that
will be willing to pay for that offer. And, they will be the ones
looking for exactly what you are offering.
Faster.
The pay per click service that I would recommend you start with
is Google's Adwords. The nice thing about this is that you will
actually start getting clicks from this service within 24 hours
of setting up your account. In the online world, that is the fastest
traffic around!
Spending
Limit. There are two ways that your spending will be limited. First,
you can put a spending limit on your advertisement. This can be
as low as $5 per day. But, you will probably not be spending nearly
this much. The reason? By putting your price in the advertisement,
you will not be getting many clickthroughs.
There
is an option for bidding higher than 5 cents per click. Once you
are more experienced with the pay per click game, you may be willing
to spend more than that. The reason that you would spend more -
you get your advertisement placed higher on the webpage. And, you
will have your advertisement seen more often.
So,
once you have figured out that you are making $2.50 per click (it
could happen), then, you might want to spend as much as one dollar
per click. This would then increase your traffic. You would have
a profit of $1.50 per click. This is where you can start to play
with the numbers and see what is making you the most profit PER
DAY. That is where the real value comes in. Money without a website.
You can profit from the internet without a website. Now, definitely,
you will eventually want a website and a mailing list. But, if you
are just getting started, you might want to try this game.
First,
you will want to find an affiliate. This is someone who will pay
you every time that you send someone to them and they make a sale
because of it. That is the very reason that I put up the advertisement
that I showed you before. When people come to http://www.netloot.com/af/lock.htm
they will see my
webpage that shows what this product does and how easy it is to
use. The when people go there, and buy something, I get 50% of the
sale price. You can do the same thing with any affiliate. All you
need is an address to send your clicks to. Then, when they make
a purchase, you get income. And, after all, isn't that what we are
doing here?
Until
next time
