Hmmm. Not sure how to respond. I definitely do not think it was self promotion, as I did not link to my employer, TK Carsites. I only even mention it now to add credibility to the validity of this post. |

Title: Automotive Marketing basics @ http://www.puredealer.com |

The automotive marketing sector is changing rapid with the emergence of social networking, blogs, and changes in search engine algorithms. Parts of these comments are completely wrong and are "old school". However, smaller sites can rank well although usually on long tail phrases. Content is still king. If you want to see samples go to www.puredealer.com |

Title: Bad Automotive SEO Advice |

What a crock of garbage. Whoever wrote this is trying to justify high SEO prices for car deals. The fact is, most of the "advice" in this article is based upon outdated and generally poor practices and techniques. This article stinks of self-promotion and a glaring lack of proficiency with SEO in general, and Automotive SEO in particular. |

Title: OEM's May Surprise You |

I agree that at some independent lots, you will find dealer principals who don't know the first thing about advertising online, much less SEO. What I do disagree with however, is the claim that the industry as a whole is in the dark on the topic. More and more we are seeing OEM's come up with some interesting strategies to draw traffic to their sites and even their brick and mortar franchises. (Nissan and Xbox/ OEM usage of MySpace/ etc...) |
