While designing a website it is necessary that you think from a user's point of view. Put yourself on the user's chair and find out if you are comfortable surfing through your website. Navigation thus, is an important aspect of web development. A well navigated website, makes surfing an enriching experience and also enables a proper display of your website content.

While working on the navigation part of your web development program, make sure that your website navigation is so designed that the users do not have a trouble moving in and out of the site. Use an easy navigation bar on your website template which should run all across the website. Use text link buttons on them to make them prominent. You can have sub category links widely spread on the side panel, so that the user is able to navigate through different pages in the website and look for things of his interest.

It is very important to keep the website path straight. Do not link your web pages in such a manners that the surfer goes hunting around for his way out. Keep it simple and straight. If necessary give him the link path for each page so that he can trace back his movement.

Adding a search option in your web development plan will make it easier for the users to find things of their interest in the website. This will help them make their search simple and will also cut on the waste of navigation time.

Broken or loose links are the negative aspects of web navigation. It is important to take care of these points so that you do not lose the confidence of your visitors. Incorporate a site map in your website. This is a page that will be linked to all the other pages of the website. This is important from the search engine aspect and is also useful for the users to find the desired page in your website.

Your web development program should be designed in such a manner that it is able to give the onlookers an opportunity to easy navigate through your website and move out with the feeling of satisfaction and the desire to come back to it in a few days.
