UserZoom Acquires European User Research Company WhatUsersDo, Further Strengthening Market Leadership

UserZoom, the leading user experience (UX) research platform company, announces it has acquired research technology company WhatUsersDo. A pioneer in remote usability testing, WhatUsersDo has specialized in sourcing participants for qualitative usability

SAN JOSE, Calif. (PRWEB) January 10, 2018 - UserZoom, the leading user experience (UX) research platform company, announces it has acquired research technology company WhatUsersDo. A pioneer in remote usability testing, WhatUsersDo has specialized in sourcing participants for qualitative usability research with an emphasis on the European market.

UserZoom has invested heavily over the past two years in enhancing their product, and knows that a key requirement for getting to great UX insights is the ability to find the right participants at the right time. This is why in 2016 UserZoom acquired YouEye, whose large panel of quality participants for Think-Out-Loud feedback was incorporated into UserZoom’s participant sourcing engine, and is also what prompted UserZoom’s latest decision to acquire WhatUsersDo.

“It’s a terrific time for WhatUsersDo to join the UserZoom family,” said WhatUsersDo CEO Nick
Imrie. “They have a genuinely awesome Enterprise Research offering, and we look forward to
driving the benefits of qualitative user research and remote usability testing through high quality and on-demand participants for think-out-loud usability testing in every market their clients operate in.”

UserZoom customers can take advantage of this new ecosystem of panelists to enable even better, faster, and easier participant sourcing - especially internationally where demand is rising rapidly.

"Through our acquisition of WhatUsersDo, UserZoom now combines the most powerful multi-method, qualitative and quantitative research capabilities, with high speed, high quality participants,” added Jamie Mellalieu, VP of Sales EMEA. “This immediately enables our European clients to supercharge their research."

In Q4 of 2015, UserZoom Technologies completed a $34 million financing round with the intent to support the growth and expansion of the company and further its position in the usability market. The round was led by TC Growth Partners (now Sunstone Capital Partners), Trident Capital and StepStone Group. Following a major platform UX overhaul and the acquisition of YouEye and WhatUsersDo, UserZoom strives to ensure that its customers can continue leveraging the premier UX research platform on the market.

UserZoom's product strategy is to build the most robust UX insights solution for enterprises that care about building great experiences. Adding WhatUsersDo to the UserZoom portfolio solidifies their focus on providing fast and high value qualitative feedback that aligns with their customers’ high pace usability testing needs.

“UserZoom is investing in faster and easier ways to collect UX insights from the right participants. Ultimately, we want to empower our customers to build the best digital experiences for their end users,” said UserZoom Co-Founder & CEO Alfonso de la Nuez. “With the acquisition of WhatUsersDo, we continue to generate real value to our Enterprise customers as the need for rapid sourcing of testers for qualitative feedback grows in the US and the EU.”
