Countdown: Only 6 Shopping Days Until Christmas and These Brands and Influencers are Dominating Social Media

NEW YORK —Christmas shopping is reaching a frenzy state and brands are jockeying for position to be at the top of Santa’s list and end the year on a sales high.   More than 2.2 million Tweets about holiday gifts or Christmas gifts have been posted over the past 30 days in the U.S., according to international social media analytics firm Talkwalker. 

The top brand Tweet in terms of engagement came from the Fenty Beauty Holiday Gift Guide (https://twitter.com/fentybeauty/status/1074443170807570433) - by Rihanna, with more than 47,600 engagements (likes and reTweets), Talkwalker reported. 

However, retail goliath Amazon is the most mentioned brand in relation to the topic of holiday/Christmas gifts with more than 39,000 mentions on Twitter. 

Additionally, there has been a lot of interest surrounding gift cards, with more than 122,000 mentions of the term in the holiday gifts conversation over the last 30 days on Twitter.
