Photo platform ViewBug helps photographers monetize their images

Company looks to disrupt stock photo sector by hosting collections that are not shot for stock

ViewBug’s latest update enables photographers to submit their images to be reviewed for licensing on their behalf. The update accommodates images already uploaded to the community, as well as new submissions.

“We are proud to be launching a marketplace that empowers our members and all visual creatives,” says Ori Guttin, the site’s founder. “Our mission is to provide creatives with the tools they need to make money from their images in a way that streamlines and simplifies a process that can traditionally be time-consuming and overwhelming.”

ViewBug is free to join, and there are no fees to sign up for the photography marketplace. For individuals who join this month, the company is offering free photography education.

The still image stock market is predicted to hit $4.5 billion by 2020. On average, stock photographers earn between 25 and 45 cents per image per month.
