Dex Launches Search Engine Clicks Package for Small Business

'Dex Web Clicks(TM)' Provides Access to More Than 30 Major Search Engines and Portals

DENVER, Sept. 23 - Dex Media, Inc., a leading directory publisher and online advertising services provider, announced today that it is introducing a new Internet product line to help small businesses extend their Yellow Pages advertising messages through more than 30 major search engines and portals. Called Dex Web Clicks(TM), the product is first being introduced in the Seattle metropolitan area.

Designed as an affordable solution for small and medium-sized enterprises, Dex Web Clicks is available in several package options, which include search engine marketing, Web site design and hosting. The search engine marketing capability provides customers with a guaranteed number of clicks from major search engines and portals. Fixed-price packages start at less than $100 per month, enabling small businesses to affordably establish or expand their online marketing programs.

"We are committed to delivering superior value to our customers by extending the reach of their marketing messages," said George Burnett, president and CEO of Dex Media. "Now, Dex Web Clicks takes it to the next level, with a product that enables our customers to take advantage of the dramatic growth in Internet search at an affordable price."

"Dex is unlocking Internet search for small businesses," said Simon Greenman, vice president of Internet Products at Dex Media. "Our advertisers are increasingly eager to market online but rarely have the time and resources for more complex strategies, such as keyword selection and auctions. With this new product, Dex has streamlined these processes so our advertisers can access a new source of targeted leads."

Dex has partnered with two leading providers to deliver these new products. Interland, a major provider of Web hosting and online services for small and medium-sized businesses, will provide Dex Web Clicks users with Web site design services, and online tools and services to update, manage and market their site on an ongoing basis. SME Global Solutions (SGS), a leading broker and aggregator of interactive e-products and services, will broker and monitor the online leads.

"Both companies are ideal partners for Dex, enabling us to offer small businesses a best-in-class product to meet their needs," said Greenman.

"Dex has always understood how important it is to deliver value to its small business customers through its print directory," said Joel Kocher, chairman and CEO for Interland. "Now they are clearly extending their leadership to online directories and advertising. We are delighted to work with Dex to help their advertisers establish -- and expand -- their online presence."

"Dex Media is among the first in the Yellow Pages industry to offer the power of search engine marketing to local merchants. This innovative product suite presents an opportunity for merchants to offer products and services to local consumers and greatly improves the quality of local search results for the participating search engines," said Kirsten Mangers, chief strategic officer of SGS. "We are excited to be a part of this pioneering initiative."
