Every affiliate marketer is always looking out for that particular market or product that will generate the biggest paychecks for them. Some think that there is a magic formula or a holy grail that is readily available for them. Actually it is a little more complicated than that.  In fact to make regular sales they just have to follow good marketing practices that have proven for affiliates over years of dedication and hard work.

 

Over a period of time there are certain tactics that have proven good results to affiliate marketers. It has continued to work before in the direct marketing field and now in the online marketing field.

 

With these three important marketing tips, you will be able to able to increase your sales many fold and do more than just survive in the affiliate marketing field online.

 

What are these three tactics?

 

 1.  PROMOTE PRODUCTS INDIVIDUALLY

Always try to promote each product individually. Do not just lump all your products into one website and market that website to save money. To make better sales you need to have a website or a web page dedicating on each product and nothing more.

 

Always include honest product reviews and testimonials on the website so that buyers can understand clearly what benefits the product will offer them if they buy it. Also writing articles highlighting the uses of the product and include them on the website as an additional page is a good idea.  Always Make the pages attractive, compelling and include calls to act on the information provided.

 

2.  ALWAYS CAPTURE VISITORS EMAIL ID.

 Only two things can possibly happen with the web page. A closed sale or the prospect leaving the page and never return again. So it is very important to try to at least capture their email id, by offering then something good and informative in return. You would need to create an account with a professional auto responder service like Aweber or Getresponse for that.

 

Offer free reports to your readers with good information that they could use in exchange for their email id.  Create a set of 7 auto responder messages that will be mailed to those who input their personal information into your sign up box.  According to research, a sale is closed usually on the seventh or more time contact with a prospect.

 

By sending useful information into their inboxes at certain specified period, you can remind them of more benefits of the product they thought they want later. Focus on important points like how your product can make life and things easier and more enjoyable. Be sure that the content is directed toward specific reasons to buy the product. Do not make it sound like another sales pitch. 

 

If you are giving a good free product to capture email id’s then about 10- 20% of your visitors will leave your email id with you. You can market further to them. Now this conversion ratio is also based on how good your sales copy is. Marketers have reported over 70% conversion ratio into their opt in list.

 

Always remember, once you have their email id, even if they do not buy this particular product, you could always inform them about other good products you have. In order to do that you should be sending them only useful information so that they remain subscribed to your opt in list.

 

 3. MARKET TO YOUR NICHE GROUP ONLY

Always try to market only to the kind of traffic that is targeted to your product. Just imagine, if the person who visited your website has no interest whatsoever in what you are offering, they will be among those who move on and will never come back. You are also wasting your resources if you are not marketing to your niche crowd.

 

To get targeted traffic you can write articles for publication in e-zines and e-reports that caters to your niche crowd.  Try to write a minimum of 2 articles per week, with at least 300-600 words in length.

 

You need to locate publications that are focusing on your target customers and offer them your article, so that if they publish it then you are targeting a niche crowd that is more likely to buy your product.

 

Keep submitting your articles to the various article directories out there on a regular basis. By continuously writing and maintaining these articles you can generate as many as 100 targeted readers to your site in a day.

 

Always remember that only 1 or 2 out of 100 people are likely to buy your product or get your services. If you can generate as much as 1,000 targeted hits for your website in a day, means you can make approximately 10 sales based on the average statistics.

 

The tactics given above are not very difficult to do, if you think about it, all it requires is a little time, patience and a firm action plan on your part.
