What is the most important element of outstanding sales copy? Let's
look at some of the elements and see which of them is the most
important.
Audience: Have you chosen an audience that is receptive to your message? Have you
crafted your message so that it will be appropriate for your audience?
This is very important, because if people are not a good fit for your
message, it does not matter how skillful your message is written. Say
you are trying to get people to buy a new car. You want to target
people who are in the market to buy, not someone who has already spent
their money. So maybe the audience is the most important element.
Headline: The headline is the first thing your prospect sees, so maybe it is the
most important. You have to really work to grab someone's attention
today. People have so many things demanding their attention. You have
to find a way to make your message stand out and give people a chance
to read what you have to say.
Offer: It could be that the most important element of your sales copy is what
you have to offer. Everybody likes a good deal. Maybe you have a better
product or service, or maybe you have a good product or service that
comes at a better price. If you expect customers to make a buy, then
something about your offer has to be giving a value to them. Maybe the
offer is most important.
Closing and Converting: Without closing the sale and converting the potential customer or
client to an actual customer or client, your sales copy has not worked.
Since this is the real measure of whether or not your sales copy is
effective, perhaps this should be the most important element.
By
now you have probably figured out that not every element we have talked
about can be the most important element. That is because the most
important thing is to take all of these elements and make sure that
they work together. For outstanding sales copy, everything has to work
together, and if everything does work together, then you are sure to
make that sale!
