New Boon to world: Social Media Marketing

As world is growing, revolutionary tools and techniques are coming up and out of them some have proved themselves to be the essential part of our day to day life.

Digital media has shown significant impression on human activities. Whether it may be personal connection, selling/purchasing, distance communication, social shopping, globalization, Election system, etc...the world has come into the fist of every single individual. Strangers became known ones and all these things are possible just because of the invention & usage of online media which is now better known as Social Media.

Social media is a platform that provide users the ability and tools to create and publish their own mini web sites or web pages. Most of the content is generated by the users/individuals. It allows a high degree of participation & interaction among the users, along with this it easily integrates with other sites.

Two important aspects of Social media are Social Media Marketing & Social Media Monitoring. Both of these are having their own attributes & usages. But here i would like to emphasize on marketing of social media.Social media marketing aka SMM is a widely used tool to enhance business development.

Well now the question arise why their is so much buzz around SMM?? Why their is a sudden drift in the marketing tactics?? Why their is transformation from traditional media marketing to SMM?? What is the need of social media marketing??

So many questions but the answer is only one & that too very simple one...'CUSTOMER', yeah customer as they are the king of the market and the companies want to serve them in the best possible manner. So, to lure more customers & to lionize them companies want to know the need of their king & work accordingly. In present scenario all online medias are deluged with the thoughts of customers, their likes & dislikes in order to have the true comments about their products/services, companies are focusing on Social Media Marketing.

During the initial phase of social media users were only able to read it & the post-impression activity was dismal. But as the time passes organizations started to realize the strength of social media & start capturing upon it by making up-gradations in 1.0 & came with 3.0 where customers can read and write which means to & fro communication between the customers & companies is possible.

Another thing which needs an attention is the day to day changes in social media marketing. I should also point out here that what the web, in particular social media, looks like today will be very different next month, next year, and going forward. Be prepared to change. Be well- equipped to get adopted to the new changes & move ahead on your pavement with victory and celebrations.


Also it is arguable whether “Social Media” is the best label for the thing we’re talking about, but it’s the one that is stuck for now. The future of Social media marketing is going to be interesting one.
